GOLDEN NUGGET Tuesday – How to stay under the radar and look average when Cloaking

IT IS A SECRET but NOW YOU’LL KNOW – The guys who cloak make the biggest bank out there.   Why?   It is simple really,  playing by the rules will not get you high volume anymore thanks to stupid things like Google Developer Policy updates; and other rules to make it harder and harder for affiliates to make money. Affiliates have to jump on the fence to provide for their families and themselves, or face having to go back to 9-5 job.

I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to do is go back to sell advertising in the yellowpages.  (Yup I used to be an ad consultant many years ago at YellowPages, freakin’ hated slaving at that job 8-5PM M-F .. getting up at 6 to catch the train in time downtown, then arrive home by 6:30 then rinse and repeat – Thank god for affiliate marketing!)

Most people;  actually NO ONE talks about cloaking because they are scared for whatever reason.     Lucky for me, I live in a free country with freedom of speech,  and lucky for you because today I feel like sharing a true golden nugget that can help you fly under the radar better.

Want to find out what it is? Then read on!    BTW Recognize this image? —>     one word MINECRAFT!

DON’T STICK OUT!  One of the biggest most important things when it comes to cloaking is looking natural for the ad networks,  that means blending in.

It’s no secret people are using proxies combined with different VPS’s to create phantom personas.      But they get caught all the time, because they leave foot prints or stick out from the rest of the crowd.

My golden nugget tip for today is this,  if you are looking to bend the rules a bit and want to play with cloaking make sure you setup your foundation right.     There’s this site I talked about before called gs.statcounter.com,  it lets you look up stats on any country including Browser, OS,  Screen Resolution.

What does this mean?  It means you can look up what the average person in the country is using, so you can make phantom profiles that mimic that so you don’t stay out from the crowd.

    Thanks, Attila.

What can you say about the offer to show the network to cloak? Also – is it better to show a different prelander or no prelander at all?

    • Yup always show a prelander.

    • Nikolai

Must show a prelander – for 1 simple reason: because you control it: that way there cannot be any sudden redirects on the network side due to offer pauses or geo restrictions which will cause the link to change, often to uncompliant generic offer, like “browser sweep quiz” for example.

Hey Attila.. this got me curious… this post is cloaking so the traffic source doesn’t know your shady pre lander.. but can the affiliate network know ur leads are coming from a cloaked Lander?

They always warn you and say they won’t pay u out if you violate their guidelines
