Tracking your campaigns properly is still one of the most important things when it comes to running affiliate campaigns. Your tracking must work perfectly to be able to gather important data that you can use to optimize performance and be able to tell what works and what doesn’t.
When it comes to cloaking, putting your Redtrack campaign link into the cloaker as a destination URL is just not enough, it won’t pass variables through the cloaker and you will not be able to see data like adID, adsetID, campaignID etc. in Redtrack reports.
So here’s a quick and simple guide on how to make it work using Redtrack and NoIP Fraud cloaker.
So basically to get the ad ID, adset ID, campaign ID etc. from facebook into redtrack you need to add the parameters to your final destination URL.
BUT first you need to define the variables in NoIP Fraud. Most people who are facing issues with the cloaker not passing through the variables, are actually skip this step and that’s why it doesn’t work for them.
This is how you define variables in NoIP Fraud:
Next you need to pass query string variables using the following format: [[name]]
So you need to add these to your Redtrack link inside the cloaker:
And once you save the cloaker campaign, it will generate your final url which looks like this:
How to Fire Back Conversions from Redtrack to Facebook
To fire back conversions to facebook, all you need to do is connect Redtrack with your facebook ad account via API.
Go to traffic channels, select the facebook traffic source you’re using, scroll down to Facebook API integration and click Connect Facebook:
then go to your facebook ad account, Events manager, Data sources, select your pixel, click settings, copy your Pixel ID and generate an API Access Token:
and paste them inside traffic source settings in Redtrack
That’s pretty much it, I hope you find it useful.
