In this free step by step tutorial, we are going to teach you how to prepare, launch and scale profitable financial lead gen campaigns on MGID.

If you have ever been wondering how these big super affiliates are making so much money from running financial offers, you are in the right place.

One of the biggest benefits of these financial offers are the very high payouts, which allows super affiliates making crazy profits on a daily basis.

Of course, just the high payouts are not enough to bank huge profits, these super affiliates also have good optimization and scaling skills. But don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have such skills, we will teach you everything you need in this guide to kill it with financial lead gen offers.

So let’s get started!

Choosing Offers to Promote

Before you start, you need to have your affiliate offers, and of course the affiliate network you are going to work with. You can find affiliate networks with financial offers by searching for them in offervault for example, but if you are serious about running financial offers look no further and go with Supreme Media.

We have worked with Supreme Media for many many years now, and I can tell that it is the best network when it comes to financial offers. They have exclusive offers with very high payouts and great conversion rates. Some of their offers can even pay $1000 revenue/sale!

Their support team is very friendly and helpful and most importantly always ready to assist you. So if you go with Supreme Media, I recommend you to talk to your affiliate manager right away, tell them that you need the best converting offers and geos for MGID, and they will be happy to assist you.

Sometimes they can even give you landing pages and creatives, however using your custom pre landers is always the best.

So in the next step I’m going to show you how to find winning ads and landing pages for your campaign, and how to make your own unique variants out of them.

How To Find The Best Performing Ads and Landers Using Spy Tools

Thanks to the modern Spy Tools such as Adplexity, you can easily find super affiliates winning ads and landing pages. So let me show you step-by-step how it’s done.

We are using Adplexity Native which is a spy tool for native traffic sources like MGID.

To get started log in to Adplexity Native and set the date filter to last 30 days first.

Adplexity

Next you can use the search bar to add relevant keywords and filter results to see financial offers only. I like to use the keyword ’’250” because most of these offers require a $250 deposit so they probably mention it somewhere on the landing page.

Once you set this Adplexity will show you the most recent financial ads on native traffic sources. You can use the Country filter to see ads from your target geo only

As well as the traffic source filter to see campaigns from your chosen traffic source only.

This is how you can find the most recent campaign other affiliates are running, however what we need to find are the top performing campaigns to see what ads and landers are winning.

To do that you simply need to sort the ads by receiving the most traffic.

Sorting the ads by receiving the most traffic is the best indicator that the advertiser spent lots of money on these campaigns so they must be profitable, otherwise they wouldn’t run it.

Next you need to click through the results, make notes of what kinds of ads and ad angles you see, and create very similar looking but unique ads for yourself.

Then check the landing pages as well. Try to find the top 3 landers, download them directly from Adplexity by clicking on the download button in the landing page details section,

Then change the outgoing links to your tracker’s click url, change the offer name if it’s a different offer, also change the headline and the images to make your own unique twist and you’re good to go.

How To Setup Campaign Tracking

If you want to make big profits with your campaigns you can’t skip this step. Tracking your campaigns properly is very important to be able to see where your earning and losses are coming from and to optimize your campaigns based on the data you get.

The best and most accurate way to track your campaigns is by using third party trackers such as Redtrack, Voluum, Bemob etc.

We have used Redtrack for many years now and we believe it is one of the best trackers out there. Since we use Redtrack, I’m going to show you how to set up tracking with Redtrack, but the steps are pretty much the same no matter which tracker you use.

I always start with adding my landing pages. To do that, go to Landers, add new, name your landing page and paste it’s link in the URL box and click save.

Next you need to add your affiliate network in Redtrack, in our case it’s Supreme Media. Luckily Redtrack has a bunch of pre-built templates of networks, so all you need to do is go to Offer Sources, click choose from template, find Supreme Media and click ADD.

Once you set your offer source, the next step is to add your offer. Go to Offers, add new, enter a name for your offer, select the offer source, and add your affiliate link in the URL box.

Double check and make sure your link includes the affiliate network’s correct ClickID parameter. In our case with Supreme Media we need to send the ClickID on the sub1 parameter, so we need to make sure our link contains: sub1={clickid}

And finally before we can create our tracking campaign, we need to add the traffic source as well. Our traffic source is MGID, so we need to go to traffic sources, click on add new from template, and select MGID as our traffic source.

Once you have your landing page, offers source, offer and traffic source added, you can create your tracking campaign.

Go to campaigns, add new, enter a name for your campaign and select the traffic source.

Then you need to create your funnel by selecting your landing page and offer.

You can also select multiple landing pages and Redtrack will split test them for you. I usually recommend starting with 3 different landing pages to find your winner as soon as possible.

Once you set your funnel, save your campaign go to tracking links and parameters section, and copy your Click URL.

This is going to be your destination URL in MGID.

Once you set all this, it’s time to launch your first campaign on MGID.

How To Setup Your Campaign On MGID

In this step I’m going to show you how to set up a native campaign on MGID step by step.

So to get started, log in to MGID and click add campaign.

MGID

First you need to name your campaign, choose a campaign type, category and language.

MGID

Next is targeting, you need to select your target geo and device type.

If you target multiple device types, create separate campaigns for them, one for mobile and one for desktop only.

You can also target browser versions, browser languages, mobile connections etc. However I don’t recommend targeting any of those in the beginning, you can optimize those segments once your campaign receives enough traffic/data.

Next you can set your daily and overall campaign budgets

If you want you can set custom tracking tags as well.

And finally you need to set conversion tracking. Don’t worry it’s not complicated, just select Redtrack from the templates menu

And MGID will generate postbacks for you.

The most important one you want to use here is the ACTION postback URL, but you can use all 3 if you want. Copy the Postback URL and paste it into your Redtrack campaign’s S2S Postback section.

When it’s done, the next step is to upload your ads.

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

Into the URL box you need to copy and paste your Redtrack campaign’s click url, in the TITLE box you need to enter the ad text, then upload your ad image, and set the click price in cents.

I recommend adding at least 5 different ad images for testing.

That’s pretty much it, once you upload all your ads, save and wait until the approval team reviews and approves your campaign.

Optimizing and Scaling Winning Campaigns

Once your campaign goes live you need to wait until it gathers enough data before you can start optimizing.

Until then you should check and make sure your tracking setup is correct and you receive data through the parameters.

To do that, select your campaign in Redtrack, click reports, and from the SUBs dropdown menu, go through the parameters and make sure you receive data on each. The most important ones are:

  • Campaign ID
  • Placement ID
  • Creative ID
Supreme Media

If you see N/A on these parameters then something is wrong, you need to check your settings.

Once you receive some data you can start analyzing your stats and if you have enough data you can start optimizing as well.

I recommend starting with adjusting the placements (widgets).

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

Sort the placements by Cost and identify which placements are causing losses, aka spending money without getting leads. You need to stop those placements.

To stop a placement go to your campaign on MGID and click on the selective bidding icon.

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

You can copy the placement ID from Redtrack and paste it in the search box

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

Then switch it off if you want to stop it.

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

You can also adjust the bids on your placements, like if one of your placement getting a lot of leads but the click price is too high, you can try to lower your cpc here.

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

Or if you are getting leads but very slowly you can try the opposite and increase the bids.

Next you also need to analyze the stats on your landing pages and ads. If you started your campaign with multiple landers like I suggested, go to reportings , select landers and compare them against each other.

Supreme Media

Try to identify which one of your landers is getting the most leads, and which one is wasting your money. If the lead amounts are around the same or very close to each other, focus on the LP CTR (Landing Page Click Through Rate). The one with the highest CTR% is going to be the best.

You need to do exactly the same thing with your ads.

How to Kill it with Financial Lead Gen from Supreme Media on MGID

Once you identify which one of your ads are doing good and which ones are wasting money, stop all the bad ones and replace them with new ads that are similar to your top ads.

If you target multiple device types by now you should be able to tell which one performs better, and focus only on that one.

When your campaign is finally profitable you need to focus on scaling. You can start by creating a whitelist of your top performing placements and launch a new campaign with a bigger daily budget targeting only the top placements.

If your offer is available in multiple GEOs, create new campaigns and test other countries as well. You can use your winning angles, landers ads etc. just make sure you localize them. By localizing I mean translating your ads and landers to local languages.

Or you can start with targeting GEOs where the local language is the same as your winning campaign. For example if you can try a bunch of Spanish speaking countries, or English speaking ones, like South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore etc.

If you want to scale even further, grab your winning campaigns and launch them on other native traffic sources as well, using the same ads and landing pages that are working well on MGID.
