Finding products that work well on Google Ads definitely isn’t an easy task, so one of our members in our premium forum who is a Shopify expert shared some awesome tips, everything from research to validation, in order to help you get a clearer image on how to search for products that might sell really, really well in your store.

So, the three “tools” that you need to find the best products for your store are:

  • Your supplier (AliExpress, Alibaba, etc.),
  • Google Trends,
  • Google Ads + Keyword Planner

Step 1: Find an Interesting Product to Test Out

If you go to AliExpress, you’ll notice that it offers a lot of products that can be tested on Google Ads and that might sell really well, but also a lot of “basic” products that you should probably skip (e.g. phone chargers and similar items).

What you want to do is scan the index page (I do this a couple of times per week to get a better insight into available products), and pay attention to pricier products rather than those that cost $2 or $3, because they’re more worthy and you’ll be able to sell them at a higher price later on.

The product that I’ll be using to show you how this works is a fingerprint door lock, which I know nothing about — I stumbled upon it on AliExpress and thought it would be cool to test out.
