In this step by step guide, I’m going to show you how to prepare, setup and optimise lead generation offers such as Solar, on Zeropark Push.
As you might know lead generation offers such as Solar, Insurance and Mortgage etc, are very popular on Facebook and Native traffic sources. The problem with these traffic sources, especially with Facebook is that their policies are very strict, and they easily ban you, disable your ad accounts etc. most of the time for no reason, by mistake.
That’s why you should try other traffic types and sources, like Push for example. Many marketers don’t know that these offers are working great on push traffic as well. Push traffic is cheaper so you can test more with less budget, and there’s also less competition on these offers.
One of the best traffic sources out there is Zeropark, especially when it comes to Push traffic.
So let’s get started and I will show you how to prepare, setup and optimise Solar campaigns using Zeropark as our traffic source.
Finding The Best Performing Solar Ads and Landing Pages
We always start with a quick spying session before we run anything, to see what ad and landing page combinations have proven to be the most effective for other affiliates.
The quickest and easiest way to do this is by using spy tools. My favorite spy tool is Adplexity. They offer tools for all kinds of traffic types and sources. Since we are running campaigns on push, Adplexity Push is the tool we need.
To get started with spying, log in to your Adplexity account, select search by keyword, and search for the keyword ’’Solar’’ or ’’Solar Panels’’ in AD info.
Next select your target country, in our case it’s the USA since the offer we are running is US only.
Then most importantly, to see the best performing solar campaigns, you need to set a date filter (last 30 or last 7 days)
and then sort the ads by receiving the most traffic.
Once you set this, you will see the top performing solar campaigns in your selected date range. Take a look at the first 5-10 ads that are getting the most traffic to see what kinds of images, text, and landing pages they’re using.
Here’s an example:
Use these to get ideas for your own ads, the best way to do this is by creating very similar looking but unique creatives for your own campaigns.
Tracking Setup With Redtrack
In my opinion the best tracking software you can get is Redtrack. They offer all the tracking features you need to optimise and make your campaigns profitable. They even offer you a 14 Day FREE Trial so you can try it for yourself.
To get started with Redtrack, first you need to add your Offer source, Offer, Landing page, and Traffic source.
To add your Offer Source (affiliate Network) select offer sources and click +New.
Then find your affiliate network in the list and click on the Add button.
If you can’t find the network in redtrack’s pre-built list, don’t worry, just click on create custom, and can add it manually.
Next you need to add the Offer. Select Offers and click on +New.
After that you need to name your offer, select the offer source, and add your unique affiliate link.
Once you have that, you can add your landing page, by clicking on Landers and +New.
After that, all you have to do is give your landing page a name and add it’s URL.
Then you can add the traffic source. We’ll be running campaigns on Zeropark, so that will be our traffic source.
It’s time to set up your first tracking campaign now that you have everything you need. To do so, go to Campaigns and then +New.
Then give your campaign a name and choose Zeropark as a traffic source.
After that, you can add your landing page and offer to create your funnel.
By clicking on the green buttons, you may add several offers or landers to A/B test them.
Once you are done, it’s time to setup your first campaign on Zeropark.
Launching Your Campaign On Zeropark
To get started, log in to your Zeropark account, click on New campaign and select Push.
Next you can choose from 3 targeting options: RON – Target – Source
I recommend starting with RON, unless you already have a whitelist of your top placements/sources.
After that, type in your campaign name, and choose a campaign status after it gets approved.
Next, submit your ads and fill up the target URL box with your Redtrack link.
Next you need to select your target country, language, adult filter and device type.
I also checked Regions targeting, since I have a list of the top converting regions.
TIP: Talk to your affiliate network manager, ask them if they can give you the best performing regions / zip list, and target only those right from the start.
Next you need to set your budgets and bidding. I always start with the bid Zeropark suggests and then optimise later.
After that select Redtrack as your tracking solution and copy your Postback URL and go back to your Redtrack campaign, click Edit, scroll down until you see S2S Postback to Zeropark, and paste it there.
Click save and you are done with launching your campaign.
Optimising Your Campaign
You’ll have to wait 24-48 hours (depending on your daily budget) before you can optimise, to collect enough data for optimization. Keep a watch on your campaigns until then, and make sure you are getting all data through the dynamic variables.
After you’ve gathered enough data, you may start optimizing. Begin with the placements (targets) and eliminate those that are a waste of money and do not result in conversions.
Stop any bad placements that spend more than the offer payout and generate no conversions first.
You’ll need to keep repeating this process until you’ve identified the most profitable placements for your campaign.
Also check the stats on your creatives. If there’s any that spend too much and get no conversions cut it, replace it with another one that is similar to your best performing creative.
You can also setup auto optimization rules on Zeropark which is such a great feature. You can basically set rules and optimise on auto-pilot.
To create an optimization rule, go to the Optimization rules section of your campaign and select ‘New rule.’
Then you may define optimization rules for targets, for example.
If your offer payment is $15 for example, you may define a rule that automatically cut all placements costing more than $15 and not bring any conversions.
You can create up to 6 optimization rules per campaign.
How To Scale Winning Campaigns
You’ll need to start scaling up your winning campaigns after you’ve discovered them. Create a new TARGET campaign that only targets your best-performing placements as the first stage.
Because this campaign will only target the most profitable placements, you may set a greater daily budget for it.
You may keep your current campaign running while experimenting with other budgets to see if you can find more profitable placements.
Launch more campaigns with your winning creatives on other traffic sources if you want to scale even further.
